Annual Programme of NI Stobi for 2026

NI Stobi publishes the Annual Programme for 2026. The programme includes activities and projects focused on the protection, conservation, restoration, and additional archaeological research at the archaeological site of Stobi, as well as projects in the field of museum activities and the improvement of conditions in the conservation laboratory.

Cultural heritage protection
8,000,000.00 MKD

1) Conservation, restoration and reconstruction, and archaeological research of the Roman Theatre at Stobi
2) Conservation, restoration and archaeological research of the Building with Arches at Stobi
3) Conservation and archaeological research of the architectural remains of the Residential and Commercial Quarter from Early Byzantine Stobi
4) Conservation–restoration and archaeological research of the Northwestern Fortification of Stobi – Phase 1
5) Conservation and restoration of the floor mosaic in the House of Parthenius
6) Routine maintenance and landscaping of the site
7) Conservation, restoration and structural strengthening of the Old Railway Station and its adaptation into a Visitor Centre –  phase: landscaping and interior arrangement

Projects in the field of museum activities
900,000.00 MKD

1) Conservation and restoration of the opus sectile decoration on wooden furniture discovered in the Episcopal Residence (Casino) at Stobi
2) Conservation and restoration of pottery and glass from the NI Stobi collection
3) Procurement of conservation materials for the laboratory
4) Making of pedestals for stone monuments in the lapidarium
